SPECIFIC CAUTIONS

Specific cautions for each target species:

Remove the collar at the first signs that the animal is not tolerating it well.

Special precautions for use with the animal:

Remove the collar if the dog is bathed or washed and put it back on when the coat is dry. The effectiveness of the collar may be reduced if the coat is wet repeatedly and significantly (rain, bath). In this case, the collar should be changed earlier.

Special precautions to be taken by the person who administers the medicinal product to the animals:

Wash your hands after you have placed the collar around your animal's neck.
Do not smoke, drink or eat while putting the collar on the animal.
Avoid contact with skin.
Keep away from food and drink, including those for animals.
Do not allow children to play with the collar.

Usage during gestation, lactation or laying:

Studies involving laboratory animals (rats, rabbits) have not shown any teratogenic effect from dimpylate, but embryotoxicity and maternotoxicity have been noted. The non-toxicity of this product for a female dog that is gestating or lactating has not been demonstrated. As dimpylate has a systemic distribution and the exposure lasts for several months, the use of this product on a female dog that is gestating or lactating is not recommended.

Interaction with other medicinal products and others forms of interactions:

Do not use other organophosphate insecticides on the animal while it is wearing the collar.

Excessive dose (symptom, emergency procedure, antidote):

The main symptoms observed as a result of accidental poisoning by organophosphate insecticides are hypersalivation, diarrhoea, bronchial congestion, shaking and convulsions. The treatment of accidental poisoning is essentially based around the administration of atropine sulphate.

Incompatibilities: None known.

ACTION PROTEC Collar 10 Months Fleas/6 Months Ticks

Fleas and ticks are present throughout the year, in towns and in the countryside. Check your dog regularly, especially after a walk in the forest, where the risk of catching fleas or ticks is higher. Fleas or ticks like to lodge themselves in and around your dog’s ears, at the base of the tail and on the stomach. Also check your dog's environment (toys, cushions, baskets, carpets, etc.), as the parasites can lodge anywhere in the house. If you notice the presence of fleas or ticks on your dog's coat or skin, treat your animal promptly with a product which kills parasites, to reduce the risk of diseases caused by bites.
