VETOBIOTIC DIMPYLATE COLLAR FOR LARGE DOGS

Specially designed to help protect your dog from ectoparasites such as fleas and ticks.

Target species: Dogs

Dosage and route of administration: For external use only: one collar per animal. Adjust the length of the collar so that you can fit one finger between the neck and the collar. Cut off the excess of the end of the collar.

Instructions for storage: Store the product in its original packaging. Do not store at a temperature above 30°C.

Special precautions to be taken when disposing of unused veterinary medicinal products or waste: Dimpylate is toxic to aquatic life. Empty packaging and any residual product should be disposed of in accordance with the practices governed by the regulations on waste.

Indication for use: Disorders due to parasites sensitive to dimpylate.

In dogs:

- Elimination of fleas and ticks.

- Prevention of new infestations for a period of 4 months for fleas and 3 months for ticks.

Contraindications: Do not use on puppies under 3 months old. Do not use on a sick or convalescing animal or an animal with skin lesions.

Composition: Active substance: Dimpylate 6.15g, excipients qs 41g.

Single blister pack containing 1 x 41 g collar.

Use during pregnancy and lactation: Use of this product on a female dog that is gestating or lactating is not recommended.

Interaction with other medicinal products: Do not use other organophosphate insecticides on the animal while it is wearing the collar.

Excessive dose: The main symptoms observed as a result of accidental poisoning by organophosphate insecticides are hypersalivation, diarrhoea, bronchial congestion, shaking and convulsions. The treatment of accidental poisoning is essentially based around the administration of atropine sulphate.

Adverse effects: Irritation may appear on the animal's neck due to the wearing of the collar. In this case, remove the collar until the symptoms disappear. In the event of adverse effects, mainly vomiting, shaking, or even convulsions, the treatment is symptomatic and eliminatory.

Special caution: Remove the collar at the first signs that the animal is not tolerating it well.

Precautions when using:

Special precautions for use with animals

Remove the collar if the dog is washed and put it back on when the coat is dry. The effectiveness of the collar may be reduced if the coat is wet repeatedly and significantly (rain, bath). In this case, the collar should be changed earlier. It is still possible for a tick to become attached. Consequently, the transmission of infectious diseases by this parasite cannot be ruled out completely if the conditions are unfavourable.

Special precautions to be taken by the person who administers the veterinary medicinal product to the animals

Wash your hands after you have placed the collar around your animal's neck. Do not smoke, drink or eat while putting the collar on the animal. Avoid contact with skin. Keep away from food and drink, including those for animals. Do not allow children to play with the collar.

These products are veterinary medicinal products. Do not hesitate to take advice from your pharmacist or vet; if symptoms persist, consult a vet. Before using, read the information contained in the instructions for use notice carefully.

VETOBIOTIC Collar 4 Months Fleas/3 Months Ticks

Fleas and ticks are present throughout the year, in towns and in the countryside. Check your dog regularly, especially after a walk in the forest, where the risk of catching fleas or ticks is higher. Fleas or ticks like to lodge themselves in and around your dog’s ears, at the base of the tail and on the stomach. Also check your dog's environment (toys, cushions, baskets, carpets, etc.), as the parasites can lodge anywhere in the house. If you notice the presence of fleas or ticks on your dog's coat or skin, treat your animal promptly with a product which kills parasites, to reduce the risk of diseases caused by bites.
